I was beyond thrilled when I heard from Charlotte Wedding magazine, asking if I’d like to shoot their fall fashion spread. Me? Photograph gorgeous wedding gowns and jewelry in the super cool McColl Center for Visual Art??? Hmmm…lemme think…YES!
Our day began around 6 am with beautification of our already gorgeous bridal model, and me oohing and ahhing over the rack of gorgeous bridal gowns collected from the fantastic bridal salons in and around Charlotte. (there may have been a little planning to talk my husband into marrying me again so I could get a new wedding gown going on too…)
We had such a fabulous team putting this together: Laurel Benedum from Charlotte Wedding styled each look, Jane Fields from Charlotte wedding produced the shoot, and the amazing Rebekah McCann did a fantastic job on all the hair and makeup for our beautiful model!
Our first shoot began with a gorgeous Anna Maier Monet gown from Hayden Olivia on the rooftop of the McColl Center.
We headed out to ‘the ruins’ of the former church on the grounds to photograph this Nicole Miller stunner from J. Majors.
Artist Linda Luise Brown was kind enough to lend us her studio to photograph this gorgeous Lillian West wedding gown from Poffie Girls.
The next gown is from one of my favorite designers, Justin Alexander. New York Bride and Groom graciously loaned us this gorgeous wedding dress, and the fab veil came from one of my absolute favorite people in the wedding industry, Aubre from Aubre’s Bridal!
This beautiful Lula Kate dress came from J. Majors!
This fun skirt and top ensemble from J. Majors was photographed in artist Jason Watsons’ studio.
One of my favorites from the day was this Blush by Jim Hjelm from Hayden Olivia.
