Besides weddings, I love photographing all the wonderful parts of life that come after the wedding day.  When my brides and grooms and my friends add to their family, I’m so honored when they ask me to photograph another special moment in their lives.

When my best friend had her sweet little baby girl, I was so excited to head over to the hospital and capture a few images of her big brother meeting his little sister for the first time.  He was so proud and excited!

Falls Family Portraits by Stephanie

Hello everyone!

This past week I had the pleasure of taking some family portraits of Christi, Jay and baby Jackson. I’m so glad I finally got to meet the little guy. He is so adorable!

Also, on a sidenote, I graduated college! Yay! This past Saturday I graduated Cum Laude from Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. I loved college and I will miss being there, but I’m excited for the future!

See you next week,

Meet Jackson!

Well, it’s my very first Mother’s Day as a mommy, so what better time than now to introduce my sweet little bundle of joy to the world??

Jackson P. Falls made us wait…he was a week overdue when my doctors finally decided to induce labor.  We ended up having to have an emergency c-section after 24 hours of labor when Jackson went into distress (his heart beat got over 200!).  It turned out to be the right thing, though-not only was he a BIG baby for my little 5’2″ self to deliver, he was also ‘sunny side up’- which meant he was facing forward instead of backward, so the broadest part of his head would have been coming out first.  NOT a good situation.

Jay was a real trooper throughout-he even watched the C-section and cut the umbilical cord!  He was amazing, and he is an amazing, incredible daddy to our sweet little boy!  Life couldn’t possibly be sweeter right now!

Anyway…..Meet Jackson…. 9 pounds, 1.1 oz, 22 inches, born Monday, April 18, 2011 at 10:06 pm.

Baby Love-Candyland baby shower!

Some of my readers know that I am due very soon to give birth to our very first child-a little boy!!!

My sweet friend Katie threw me the sweetest, cutest baby shower last month, with a Candyland theme!  Between nesting, doctor appointments, and the last few things I need to have done for all my clients before I hibernate with my little one in April, I haven’t had an opportunity to share the photos I took that day… I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the shower!  (I didn’t get to take as many photos as I normally would, since I was the guest of honor this time, but I’ve got a decent number!)

Be sure to check out the SUPER-cute cake (King Candy’s castle!) from Got What it Cakes!  It was yummy, too–vanilla cake with strawberry fluff filling! Candyland theme baby showerI LOVE the rock candy drink stirrers and especially the adorable candy cherry garnishes!  Of course, no party for this family would be complete without Sun-Drop!!!  And having it in the glass bottles was just that much sweeter!

The cutie in the purple dress is my little niece Charlee–she’s going to be a big help with the baby-she’s informed me she is going to teach him everything she knows, and she is going to help with with everything except diapers because “that’s just gross”!  And of course, she had to help deliver AND open all the baby gifts! ;)
