Charlotte Wedding Magazine – Fall Bridal Gown Fashion Feature

I was beyond thrilled when I heard from Charlotte Wedding magazine, asking if I’d like to shoot their fall fashion spread. Me? Photograph gorgeous wedding gowns and jewelry in the super cool McColl Center for Visual Art??? Hmmm…lemme think…YES!

Our day began around 6 am with beautification of our already gorgeous bridal model, and me oohing and ahhing over the rack of gorgeous bridal gowns collected from the fantastic bridal salons in and around Charlotte. (there may have been a little planning to talk my husband into marrying me again so I could get a new wedding gown going on too…)

Engagement Rings {Donald Haack Diamonds}

I recently spoke with Julie Haack of Donald Haack Diamonds in Charlotte about engagement rings. An engagement ring is a purchase you’ll treasure forever, so of course you want to get as much information as possible before making that very important decision. While visiting, I snapped a few photographs of some of my favorite diamond engagement rings in their inventory…I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Erica and Jesse Wedding

Erica and Jesse met in Atlanta in their junior year of college, and have been inseparable ever since. They celebrated their love for each other with a beautiful beach wedding in lovely Wilmington, NC.

Wedding Inspiration {Marie Antoinette} Brakefield at Riverwalk

I’ve been dying to do a Marie Antoinette inspired wedding styled shoot for a while now. Tonya from Pretty Planning Events took the challenge and created a gorgeous, opulent scene worthy of Marie Antoinette, along with a fabulous team of amazing wedding vendors at the new SC wedding venue, Brakefield at Riverwalk. Tonya also had the brilliant idea to feature 4 different bridal looks (from Lineage Bridal) to show how this wedding theme could work with different styles of wedding gown.

Welcome to the final post in Abbey and Caleb’s Tanglewood Park wedding in Clemmons, NC. Charlotte Wedding Photography {Liane and Ryan} Bryan’s South End

?I went to high school with Liane (just a couple years ago ;) ), and so I was so excited to get to photograph her wedding to Ryan at Byron’s SouthEnd. Liane is just such a happy, vibrant person, it was a pleasure to work with her on such an important occasion. And, with a big Italian family attending, I knew I was in for a fun night!

NC Engagement Session {Lauren and Brandon}

Birdcage inspiration wedding session {green and purple} The Warehouse, Hickory NC

After working with Jill from Events by Design, I knew we had to work together again soon! She is absolutely one of the most detail oriented people I have ever met, and it shows in her wedding and event design. I couldn’t wait for our wedding together this October, so we planned a fun inspiration bridal / wedding session in her native Hickory, NC, at a really cool and funky venue called The Warehouse.

Wedding {Jennifer and Bogdan} St. Mary’s Chapel, Charlotte NC

Jennifer and Bogdan were married in the super cute St. Mary’s Chapel in Charlotte this past November. This was one of the absolutely most fun couples ever-and their bridal party kept me and my awesome second photographer (Kristi Carraro Pope) in stitches laughing during our entire portrait escapade throughout Charlotte after the wedding! Their reception was held at CenterStage NoDa, which I love–such a cool venue!

Published {Wedding at The Arbors} Carolina Bride Magazine

Laura and Ke’s wedding at The Arbors was one of the most interesting and fun I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. From the black and white wedding dress, to the handmade paper flowers for the bouquets and centerpieces, the handmade leather earrings for the bridesmaids, and the rockin’ 80′s hair metal at the reception, this wedding was like no other. I love it when brides and grooms make their wedding all about THEM and who they are as a couple… Congratulations, Laura and Ke, you made it happen!

Laura + Ke Wedding Reception at The Arbors! by Stephanie

This is by far one of my favorite themes for a wedding! Red, black, and white are such a classy color combination. Plus, Laura made all of these gorgeous paper flower decorations by hand!┬áThe reception was extremely lively, they had a great playlist of songs from the 80′s and everyone was having a grand old time. Be sure to check out their wedding pie (not cake!).

It was both a privilege and a pleasure!

Jamaica Wedding Pictures! by Stephanie

I got to shoot my first ever destination wedding in Jamaica! It was definitely the most beautiful and exotic place I’ve gone to! During the week there was so many little rain showers on and off, we were so afraid that we were going to get some unwanted weather during the wedding ceremony on the beach. But, luck was on our side and it turned out wonderfully.
