SNOW! Here in the Charlotte, NC area, we get really, really excited about it. If the ‘S word’ even gets mentioned in the weather report, we all seem to need to run out and stock up on eggs, milk and bread. (never mind the snow will probably be gone the next day!
)
I’m so excited to share Heather and Adam’s engagement session–such a sweet couple! They will be getting married this June at a gorgeous family residence.

? There were so many cool parts of Erica and Jesse’s engagement session in Brevard, NC, I just had to break their session up into a couple parts. First, we visited one of their favorite summer hangouts and hiked along a waterfall trail for some sweet and fun images. Then, we went over and caught a gorgeous sunset over the mountains in a gorgeous field of purple flowers and gorgeous green grass for some guitar playing, wine drinking, and a few photos with their sweet dog, Belle
Nikki and Ben are getting married next summer at the super gorgeous new venue in Rock Hill, SC- Brakefield at Riverwalk. We met there to use the Riverwalk trail for their engagement session, and it was a perfect, gorgeous day. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next September!

? I loved photographing Erica and Jesse’s engagement session in Brevard, NC. They spend time there together every summer, so it was a natural location for their engagement portraits! The waterfalls were an amazing backdrop, and the setting sun was the perfect *almost ending to the day. There were so many gorgeous images from these two, I have to break them up into a couple of blogs, so here’s part one at the waterfalls.
?Heather and Justin’s wedding is coming up sooo soon-September 22- at the Victorian Crow’s Nest-a gorgeous and charming Victorian wedding venue near Monroe, NC. I think they are the sweetest couple, and I’m so excited to be a part of their special day. When we were discussing options for their engagement session, they mentioned they spend a lot of time around Cherry Grove Beach in SC, so we synced up our schedules to be down there the same time so we could do some fun beach portraits.
Lauren and Brandon are getting married at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, South Carolina this December, so that was a natural spot for their fun, rustic engagement portrait session. The Dairy Barn has so much gorgeous land around, it’s a wonderful spot for fun and natural photographs.
I’m so excited about Abbey and Caleb’s wedding coming up this October. I drove up to meet them in Greensboro, NC where they are planning to live after their college graduations and wedding. I really enjoyed the sweet little downtown area of Greensboro!
Sometimes, in the midst of the cookouts, parties, and time off work, we sometimes can forget the real meaning of Memorial Day and the sacrifices our armed forces make to defend the freedoms we enjoy.
So, this week, in honor of our armed forces, I want to give a little something back with two special contests–no voting, no craziness, just you and me and your story.
I am so excited for Heather and Justin’s wedding coming up at The Victorian Crow’s Nest this September! I love working with happy people, and not only are Heather and Justin sweet as can be, their parents are equally as lovely. I know this will be a fun, full of laughter and love day, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.

What a wonderful engagement session, and how fabulous to to catch back up with someone I went to high school with {won’t say how many years ago that was!
}!
I can’t help but mention how much it warms my heart to be published…whether on a blog, or in a magazine, but wow… when one of my clients says some lovely stuff about me and I just find it out of the blue… Super bonus!
This engagement session is a little extra special to me, since it’s our nephew and his lovely bride to be, who will be married in only a few short weeks. Since they both love the outdoors so much, we took advantage of the gorgeous weather in the mountains in Linville, Boone, and Grandfather Mountain for their engagement portrait session.
